If you want to lose pounds try these weight loss shake recipes. Juices and smoothies are a great way to kick-start a diet and can help to get fast results.

Carrot and Apple juice will help to lower blood pressure whilst detoxifying your system and relieving fluid retention. Simply blend some carrots, apples and celery and drink immediately.

To increase your Vitamin C consumption try a berry smoothie. Simply blend some freshly squeezed orange juice with berries of your choice adding a banana. Great for those hot summer days.

Some people love mango whilst others hate it. Try this great shake as it contains loads of cancer fighting beta carotene. Mangos are great for your immune system whilst the almond milk makes it taste super delicious. This is a fantastic treat if your diet is making you feel a little deprived. You just blend a banana, 2 mangos and 300 ml of almond milk, sit back and drink at your leisure.

But you will not lose sufficient pounds nor will you get all the nutrients and minerals you need just consuming weight loss shake recipes. You need to change your whole lifestyle in order to achieve a fit, toned, healthy body. Don’t think that thin people are naturally healthy. They could be less fit than you are.

We all need more exercise. You should try increasing your fitness level gradually. Too often we set our sights too high and thus when we fail to reach our goals we lose motivation. It is much better to aim small and build motivation by achieving these targets. You do not need to join a gym. Too many people believe that joining a gym is the key to fitness. Exercise not only helps you to lose weight but it also releases feel good chemicals in our brain which make us feel better. Life is all about enjoyment. Nothing should be too much of a chore as our day jobs probably cause us enough grief. Building up a fitness plan around activities you enjoy will be much more successful than trying to push yourself into the gym.

Weight loss shake recipes may seem the quick way to lose weight. They can certainly help motivate you when you first start a new diet as the pounds will fall off. But be wary of trying to live on juices and smoothies. Recent research has suggested that the sugar content in these types of drinks can cause as much damage to your liver as alcohol. Take care of your body at all times, it is the only one you have.
